About White Oak CPR LLC

White Oak CPR LLC is a CPR training and certification business started by a graduate degree-prepared clinical educator who has been American Heart Association CPR Provider certified since 2002 and has more than a decade of clinical practice experience in sub-acute and chronic care facilities. The motivation to develop White Oak CPR as a limited liability company is to give back to the communities through public health education.
Our Services
Association (AHA) CPR Instructor-Led Training for
Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR and AED Training Adult,
Child, Infant (2 year certification)

Audience: Clinical professionals (physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, dentists, pharmacists, nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists, certified nursing assistants) needing CPR Certification Course Completion Card for employment compliance in facilities.

Class Length: 4.5hrs (Initial – no previous or expired BLS certification) 3.5hrs (Renewal – unexpired BLS certification)

- Clinical professionals with no certification or unexpired certification will received instructor-led video guided training in emergencies of Adult, Child, and Infant within the Steps of Chains of Survival.
- High-Quality CPR, early defibrillation using the AED device, rescue breathing with bag-valve mask or barrier mask, team dynamics in multi-rescuer CPR, airway obstruction, and opioid emergency.
- Registration in advance to attending is required. Click HERE to register.
- Payment is due at time of registration to reserve a seat to be enrolled. All sales final. No refunds. No exchanges.
- When enrolled, the student agrees to opt-in to receive any email correspondence from staff of White Oak CPR LLC.
- To re-schedule a class, the student must email whiteoakcpr@fastmail.com no later than 3 days before the class date. Students are permitted to arrive no more than 20 minutes early for scheduled class.
- Students arriving 15 minutes after class start is a late arrival and must re-schedule by emailing whiteoakcpr@fastmail.com.
- Rescheduling is permitted one-time only for each class enrolled.
- Any student as late arrival will not be permitted to attend that scheduled class. No Call, No Show is considered if a student is not at scheduled class at start time and has not emailed whiteoakcpr@fastmail.com at least 3 days prior to class start date notifying the instructor of attendance. A No Call, No Show does not allow any student to reschedule class.
- Class maybe cancelled due to insufficient enrollment; an email to students will be sent by White Oak CPR LLC.
- Privacy is important to White Oak CPR LLC, information a student provide will be limited to use within White Oak CPR LLC.
- Attendance in-person or onsite-at-business property prohibits alcohol, vaping, tobacco use, THC, and/or illicit substances during class. Student (s) must attend the entire length of class time for successful class completion.
- Please wear loose, comfortable clothing; skills practice on mannequins require working on hands and knees with bending, standing and lifting.
- At least 3 days before the scheduled class, email whiteoakcpr@fastmail.com if you have physical conditions that may prevent you from participation in class. Students with a contagious infection must notify the instructor promptly to discuss class attendance options.
- After successful class completion of skills and written test, the student receives a certification (eCard) within 7 days of class completion. Certification is good for 2 years.

AHA Heartsaver CPR AED, First Aid Adult, Child, Infant (2 year certification)

Audience: Non-clinical occupations (Construction Workers, Church Leaders, Educators, Electricians, Flight Attendants, Hospitality, Social Workers, Security Guards) seeking CPR certification card for work
requirements. Class also open to adults without a health care background wanting to learn CPR and emergencies.
Class Length:
5 to 6hrs (no previous, expired or current Heartsaver certification)
Description
- Adults without formal clinical or medical training will receive training for Adult, Child, Infant emergencies.
- Students will be trained to know sudden cardiac arrest, to understand resuscitation, to apply High-Quality CPR, to identify and use AED device, to recognize and manage choking emergencies, to describe and demonstrate how to control bleeding emergencies, eye injury, bites, stings, diabetes and low blood sugar.
- Registration in advance to attending is required. Click HERE to register.

CPR skills training is commonly associated with clinical professions such as medicine, nursing and, pharmacy. But, did you know that CPR certification is required in non-clinical occupations such as educators, electricians and, flight attendants (American Red Cross, 2024)? For more than ten years, child care facilities in Maryland have been mandated to have at least one staff trained to administer first aid and/or CPR for individuals experiencing emergencies on premises. By January 2025, specific grocery markets and restaurants will be required to have an AED device ready-to-use on the business property (Maryland General Assembly, 2023).
Bystander is a person without formal clinical or medical training who witnesses a cardiac or pulmonary emergency; a Bystander-CPR rescuer, is a Bystander who has been CPR certified and performs CPR or apply first aid to an individual in need (Garcia et al., 2022). On average, more than 100,000 CPR emergencies occur outside the hospital annually and, survival after cardiac arrest can be greatly increased by a rescuer that immediately starts CPR (Napoli, 2022).
